In fact this page is a “work in progress”.

Concept work on a curious android named Andy and an equally curious bird.

R. Abbitt Steadman - Pictorial Assassin A tribute to Ralph Steadman (as a Rabbit) on the weekend of the 147th Kentucky Derby 2021. Sorry, I took a little (a lot) creative license here. The Kentucky Derby was the meeting and starting point of a wonderfully deranged relationship that produced Gonzo journalism with Hunter S. Thompson.

Just saying hello and a little worried about something.

The Observers have landed! They arrived on a quiet summer day. Setting down in our backyard and slowly filtered out to watch and listen to the world around them. Only my brother and I noticed them. What do they want?

Inspired by Shaun Tan’s great illustration and storytelling work.

Dali-Cat. I was experimenting with a new style which ran away on me and blend a bit. So, I went with it and Let It Bleed (sorry). Salvador Dalí as a SpongeBob cartoonist. This was made with watercolours, ink, pencil and Tombow pens.

Dali-Cat the cartoonist.

Dragon drives a sports car.

Big fan of Quentin Blake. Thought I would try to draw something whimsical in his style.

Mammoth and mouse meet for the first time.

It all started with an innocent gift and a size comment. This has not been forgotten for millions of years...

Khia’s ever growing pet!

Khia has a cat that grows bigger every-day and now it is becoming a problem.

Khia’s feels a bump.

Hello Kitty…

Snow girl with a new duck friend.

A doodle of a girl shoveling snow and then I added a mallard duck to sit on her dangling scarf (just because, why not).

A chaotic children’s book about a little girl and several animals friends.

This picture was conceived for the 2018 inktober event. Here are several style and colour pallete variations on this composition. The manuscript is still being polished but I am getting closer to something I like.

Mouse Family Surprize

Act 1
One late stormy night Mrs. Mousekin was startled by a loud bang and a strange figure in her doorway. "Squeak!" She screeched.
Act 2
She grabbed her broom for protection and gathered her children behind her then yelled - "WHO'S THERE!!!"

Act 3
"It's me..." says Mr. Mousekin dripping in a pool of water. "What a bad storm. I thought I would never find my way back from the market."

Inkworks: Apply Meditation to Art

Automatic Drawing Technique, developed by Jean Henri Gaston Giraud, aka Moebius. Helps artists free their mind and create without boundaries. A part of my weekly routine to clear my mind with some subconscious drawing.

I tried to create a vintage DoodleArt ink drawing from the 1970s and paint it in digital watercolours.
In 1972, Glenn Anderson hit on the idea of coloring a black and white line drawing called "Ecology”. Packaging a poster and vibrant felt pens together in the highly recognizable tube. The Anderson family produced the DoodleArt kits in Vancouver, Canada.
